What inspired you to start this company?
I realized early on that VR was something transformative—the next and the most important computing platform. My co-founder and I recognized that a lot of people were excited about VR, but many others still didn’t “get it.” We wanted to move VR beyond the hype and make it more accessible. So we started Entry Point VR. Our company is all about bringing everyday people into virtual reality experiences—from any device, anywhere in the world.
What has been your greatest lesson thus far?
We are looking at the tip of the iceberg when is comes to VR. My biggest lesson learned so far is that I need to keep that in mind with every decision we make from how we pitch investors to what products we’re prioritizing. It’s my job to be thinking five steps ahead and be open to iterating, iterating, iterating.
Biggest pain point you’re solving within your business?
One of the main issues working in VR right now is that you encounter such a wide range of understanding when talking to potential clients. Some people have done their research and others don’t even know the basics. So we’re learning how to build for both the sophisticated client and those who also need a bit more hand holding. It’s a fun challenge to have.
What’s your proudest moment thus far? (Go ahead and brag!)
I’m most proud of making the decision to leave a secure, high-paying job to go after my dream of starting an impactful, global virtual reality company.
What is the one thing your potential customer needs to know about your product?
With Entry Point VR, you can experience VR like never before—whether you’re an enthusiast with your own HTC Vive or Oculus Rift, or you’re at work on your desktop, or on your mobile phone. We’re the starting point for consumers to get a taste of interactive, responsive 360 video content no matter what device you are on or where you are on the globe.
