Meet the Jury for the Shorty Shorts Film Festival!

Ernest Hemingway, a writer praised for his artistic economy, wrote a six-word short story that began a brevity movement: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” This movement proves that filmmakers have so much more at their disposal than mere words.

As a tribute, we have opened our AudFest Shorty Shorts Film Fest up to tiniest of shorts and have selected some of the most well-known names on the internet from vine sensations, to stop-motion animators to help us select the winning films.

Miel Bredouw

Miel Bredouw is a comedian, writer, and actor in Los Angeles. She makes videos for the web and writes them for real life. She has worked with Funny or Die, Super Deluxe, BuzzFeed, Twitter and others that sound slightly less impressive. She is popular on the internet but not yet on wikifeet.

Andrew Bachelor

Over the last few years Andrew Bachelor, better known by “King Bach,” has quickly parlayed being one of the most influential names on the internet (with a total following 45 million fans and growing). Andrew has been named one of the Top Influencers by Forbes and Time Magazine, he received the 2015 Streamy Award for Viner of the Year, 2016 Shorty Award for Viner of the Year, and was nominated for multiple 2017 Streamy Awards for Storyteller of the Year and Collaboration, winning Storyteller of the Year. He currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most followed account on Vine.

Andrew can be seen starring in Lionsgate’s upcoming comedy feature film Where’s the Money, Netflix films The Babysitter, When We First Met and a supporting role in Game Over, Man. Additional film and TV credits include: Meet the Blacks opposite Mike Epps, 50 Shades of Black alongside Marlon Wayans, Dead House for Laugh Out Loud which he directed and Executive Produced alongside Kevin Hart, Easy (Netflix), Workaholics (Comedy Central), Resident Advisors (HULU), Black Jesus (Adult Swim), Key and Peele (Comedy Central), The Mindy Project (FOX), Wild ’N Out (MTV), Angie Tribeca (TBS), and recurring on House of Lies (Showtime).

Erma Fiend

Erma Fiend is a queer artist using stop-motion animation and conceptual mathematics to morph and deform identity, femininity, and dynamics across time and space.  To create animated gif loops, Erma shoots and cuts up image sequences, usually self-portraits, and Frankensteins them back together into Mobius strips of collaged video. Erma works as an animator and producer of educational children’s media in NYC.

Alicia Herber

Alicia Herber is an artist and video producer working across broad artistic disciplines. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Herber excels in vine, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, design and illustration. Herber was recognized as the Vine Artist Winner at the 7th annual Shorty Awards.

Audience Awards democratizes entertainment by connecting global filmmakers, fans and brands. We crowd-source mission-based, gorgeous branded content from our award-winning global filmmaker collective. Submissions are juried by the entertainment industry, influencers, and celebrities and voted on by the world. The top filmmakers receive prizes, distribution and festival screenings. Additionally, we host our annual live festival AudFest in LA, provide an internal submissions platform for brands and offer automated live event audience voting.
