Our Love Shorts contest opened this week. We asked our filmmakers, “How do you define love?” and they answered! Dreamy little flicks about what romance looked like in the ‘80s and ‘90s pitted against short films where a man spends all his time satiating his girlfriend’s craving for human flesh. Yow! Audience Awards is proud to provide a platform where filmmakers can fully express themselves.
We wanted to introduce you to the amazing jury we assembled to judge our top six films to determine our winners!
Meira Blaustein
Meira Blaustein is the cofounder, executive director and programmer of the Woodstock Film Festival (WFF). She has over twenty years of experience in filmmaking, writing, producing and directing numerous projects. As a writer Blaustein covered film, film festivals and related events for daily and monthly publications including Indiewire, Poughkeepsie Journal and i-D Magazine. She has served as juror, speaker, mentor and panelist at a variety of film festivals and special events in Norway, England, Israel, Texas, Utah, Florida and New York (city and state).
Robert Wagner
Robert Wagner began working on films as a student at New York University. As a founding member of Zero Point Films, he has produced the films Artaud’s Descendants, Spilt Milk and Good Morning. In 2011, Robert cofounded New York No Limits Film Series, an ongoing presentation of short and feature films presented in New York City. New York No Limits has exhibited over 200 films from over 20 countries.
Lindsey Doe
Lindsey Doe, DHS is a clinical sexologist, doctor of human sexuality, and host of the popular YouTube channel Sexplanations. She moved to Missoula in 2000 to study at UM and for many years taught the UM Human Sexuality course. Presently Dr. Doe aids clients in her private practice and sex educates over 150 nations with her weekly sex and relationship content.
