Fusion Documentary Challenge Finalists Announced

INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY CHALLENGE ANNOUNCES FINALISTS

Top 12 films Premiere at The Fusion Doc Challenge Screening at Slamdance and Feature Across Fusion Platforms

December 3, 2014 – The International Documentary Challenge announced the finalists today for the Fusion Doc Challenge. The International Fusion Documentary Challenge challenged young filmmakers from around to world to create short documentaries (4-7 minutes) in five days from start to finish. Contestants were given a theme and chose between two given genres. The top 12 films will premiere at the Fusion Doc Challenge Screening at Slamdance Film Festival in January 2015 where the winners will be announced and awarded $3500. The films will screen at The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in February. The films will premiere globally on TheAudienceAwards.com in March and the audience’s choice film will win $1000. The top 20 films receive an exclusive 18-month licensing deal with Fusion and will feature across Fusion’s broadcast and digital platforms.
