“Late last year, David Heredia launched an educational video series called Heroes of Color. The three-minute episodes, created with a whiteboard animation technique, celebrate the outstanding achievements, courage and perseverance of a diverse group of heroes from a wide variety of ethnicities and nationalities. The series became an award winning video series upon winning the 2015 animation merit award at the International New York Film Festival. It has screened in France, New York and Los Angeles. It has garnered public support from public officials such as U.S. Congressman Charles Rangel, NAACP, and from the host of PBS’s Finding your Roots: Henry Louis Gates Jr., David has dedicated his time to inspiring the next generation of leaders and educators. By showing the accomplishments of these heroes, It inspires confidence in people of color.
