Two European female filmmakers in Hollywood, Dasha German and Gabriela Kostadinova have teamed up on creating their next road trip indie “BAD TRIP.”
Having worked in entertainment for more than 13 years, Dash and Gabriela met on a movie set. It was an instant bond, so they decided to put their talents to work and wrote a female character-driven film that tells a story of an immigrant, mail order wife, Sofia, whose dysfunctional marriage is coming to an end as her husband has already found her a replacement.
As the story goes on, Sofia finds the courage to revert the situation and make friends with her enemy in order to survive.
The production will take place in the L.A. area at the end of November and already boasts DGA producer Bill Ostroff, who just recently joined this female-directed badass production. Bill’s credits include such major pictures a “Spiderman: Homecoming,” “The Passengers” and “Wrinkle in Time.”
Women in Film (WIF) member, Dasha German will be directing, with Steven Shulgach behind the camera as Director of Photography, Gabriela Kostadinova, starring as Sofia, and Alfred Hsing from the critically acclaimed “Mortal Combat” is in charge of stunts. “BAD TRIP” is currently running a fundraising campaign!
