Introducing Viv Brüschz – A Self-taught Filmmaker

August 8, 2019

Telling stories through film has always emboldened and enthralled Viv Brüschz. The academia life-style wasn’t a natural fit for her, so she learned the nuances of filmmaking herself. She pursued her passion, worked hard, and now her films are available for viewing. She’s an independent, self-taught filmmaker, an editor, an art director, a screenwriter, a producer, and a director.

Introducing Viv Brüschz - A Self-taught Filmmaker
Viv Brüschz

Ever since she was a child, she has seen the world through an artistic lens. She has collected many stories over the years and wishes to transpose those stories to visual representations that can inspire and engage an audience. Her films have been selected in eleven International Film Festivals. She has worked on short films and two feature films.

She enjoys the multitude of hats she wears and loves diving into the process of creation all the way to executing the film. Being a self-taught filmmaker has been challenging and yet fulfilling, creating an avenue for her dream to come to fruition.

She wishes she had more time to spend on the writing process, as she has many stories to tell. And though she loves filmmaking and all the different tangents of development and creativity, she still has to supplement her days with being an English Teacher and a Freelance Digital Marketing Consultant. She currently lives and works in Curitiba, Paraná in Brasil. You can follow and support her work here.
