Our country is divided and even though technology has connected us more than ever before, we’ve never been more disconnected. We talk more than we listen. And when we listen, it’s only enough to quickly react or respond, and not to truly understand one another.
Undebating is working together, listening and using communication techniques to help untangle interests, beliefs, and facts, with the intention of reaching agreeable solutions.
Undebating isn’t about one side winning, or even agreeing on everything. It’s about understanding that we have more in common than we think.
We listen to the other side.
We suspend our assumptions.
We get our facts straight.
We start a productive dialogue.
And then TOGETHER — we create real solutions.
Create a video 3 minutes or under that illustrates an “Undebate” solution to the problems our society faces today.
We can dissolve this divide together. Please help us spark this very important movement by telling us your stories! Your stories can be real events or fictional interpretations. They can be as personal or broad as you’d like. You can present them in any way that you feel represents your artistic vision: animation, documentary style, narrative story.

JURY AWARDS
1st Place Jury Award: $1000 + *Trip to LA or Austin to film on the set of our video series for Undebate.us, and your film featured on the Undebate.Us website, Social Media, and other promotions.
2nd Place Jury Award: $750 + *Trip to Austin for SXSW to film onsite Undebate.us interactive events.
3rd Place Jury Award: $500 + Your unique film (a new concept/theme provided by undebate.us early next year) to be shared across all Undebate.us platforms. Budget for film TBD and will be provided upon approval of storyboard and greenlight.
*Undebate.Us will provide airfare, lodging and daily per diem for each trip awarded. Constestants will provide their time to Undebate.us for filming. SXSW badge not included. No cash swap out for trip.
