Canela Media Jumpstarting Latinx Docuseries

CANELA MEDIA JUMPSTARTING LATIN DOCUSERIES

April 6, 2022

Canela Media and AudPop launched a Latin Film Challenge in 2021.

The challenge closed at the beginning of this year, and it was fantastic! We invited Latin filmmakers to create documentaries and fiction films. We needed two things from them.

First, we needed them to celebrate Latin culture and life. Second, we needed them to submit high-quality, multicultural content. And our Latin filmmakers delivered. AudPop juried the films, looking at creativity, technical merit, perspective, and adherence to the assignment.

As a result of AudPop’s collaboration with Canela Media, a unique opportunity resulted. One, Latin filmmakers showcased their culture. Two, the chance to win money prizes was realizable. And three, the real possibility to receive funding for further productions was at their fingertips. Partnering with Canela generated a life-changing opportunity.

Furthermore, Canela Media is a minority and female-owned tech company. They lead the way in digital media and connect all people through many media streams. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you should.

Canela Media Funding the Top Two Winners

The top two winners of the Latin Film Challenge will receive funding from Canela. The winners need to create a Latin Docuseries or Feature that will showcase on Canela Media. Subsequently, Canela gets amazing Latin content for their site. The filmmakers get to have their films seen by Canela’s 8.3 million users.

But that’s what we do here at AudPop. We bridge the gap between businesses like Canela Media and talented filmmakers. Besides, filmmakers utilize AudPop to jumpstart their careers. Also, they find an audience and change the world with their stories. We offer film festivals and challenges throughout the year. Doing this increases these life-changing opportunities for every filmmaker.

We won’t stop for this reason. We can’t help ourselves. Basically, we love assisting talented filmmakers. We want them to catapult themselves into a world that needs new stories. There are businesses out there like Canela Media. Companies that need to connect with powerful stories, so we step in and bridge the gap.

Here are the Grand Prize and Runner Up winners of the Canela Media and AudPop Latin Film Challenge.
