More Than 30 Film Commissions from Across the Globe Compete for the Best Marketing Campaigns of the Year

Los Angeles, CA – August 2, 2016  – The Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) has announced that voting is open today, August 2 through Friday, August 19 for  The 2016 Creativity Awards.

As an exclusive competition, The Creativity Awards allow film commissions that are AFCI Members an opportunity to competitively showcase marketing campaigns they’ve implemented over the past 18 months. Many of the submissions to this year’s contest include collateral that AFCI Members use to attract commercial, film and television productions to their respective territories.

The AFCI partnered with Montana based, The Audience Awards to host The Creativity Awards. This year more than 30 film commissions from across the globe participated, submitting nearly 200 entries into the following categories:

  • Best Logo
  • Best Promotion Swag
  • Best Ad Design
  • Best Video Reel
  • Best Website Design
  • Best Production Guide

AFCI Members will be awarded first, second and third place placements based on the popular vote count.

Industry professionals, the general public, and the Audience Awards’ global audience and network of over 100,000 subscribers are eligible and welcomed to participate in casting their vote in the Creativity Awards by visiting – TheAudienceAwards.com/vote.

The contest’s top prize is the Best Overall Campaign and will be voted on by an independent judging panel comprised of:

  • Marjorie Galas, Editor, Variety 411 Los Angeles
  • Elliot Kotek, Editor-In-Chief, Beyond Cinema Magazine
  • Larry Laboe, Executive Director, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles
  • Ivana Massetti, Founder, Women Occupy Hollywood
  • Kent Matsuoka, Locations Manager and Producer

“For 20 years, the AFCI Creativity Awards have recognized the ingenuity of our members and the steps they’ve taken to remain engaging and relevant to appeal to content producers within the industry,” said Kevin Clark, Executive Director of the AFCI. “Our members realize the importance of developing captivating tools using multiple platforms to deliver their messaging to appeal to the industry at large.”

The Creativity Awards’ winners will be announced at the AFCI Cineposium conference in Atlanta, Georgia, September 22-24, 2016.
