No turtles were harmed during production of our short movie. Actually it was the first time the turtle was on a trip outside and skateboarding. She was pretty excited and had a great times (same as we had!)

1. These dogs are not trained actors.

2. This video is to inform people that Home2 welcomes pets.

3. We love pets and we hope you do to.

I would like the audience to know that my film combines dramatic storytelling with visual effects, and 3-D animation to get an engaging informational film with my unique style.

When I saw the competition with 100 in the title I immediately knew that I needed a little old lady to help validate the significance of this accomplishment. It would give more credibility to promoting the 100th Hotel Opening because experience does matter. I just happened to have a little old person with lots of life experience to use for the talent. My mother. I also thought the audience would believe her making the purpose for the video more authentic than using a legitimate actress.
The challenge was that when you’re using a person that isn’t so agile and hard of hearing, you really have to have patience and know how to work with people – even if they are related. I was really proud of mom. We had a difficult time securing the location we were filming at so we had to move quickly because we were running out of ambient light. “Granny” was getting tired because of this so we rented a room for a few hours and had to get it shot with as little takes as possible.
I developed the storyboard and went over all the scenes in my head for days. When the time came to film,  “Granny” was a trouper. You never know what you might run in to so you have to be prepared to punt. We had to cut some scenes because of this and we’ll save those for the next time. Editing is always a process and with a one minute promotional piece you have to get a lot of information in a short amount of time while captivating the audience and delivering goals for the client.
Please vote for “Granny.”  Never give up! Thanks for watching and thanks for the opportunity The Audience Awards.

Filmmaker Justin Santos and “Place like Home”

Filmmaker Justin Santos and “Place like Home”

I’am Justin Santos a filmmaker from Manila, Philippines.

Editing is my job, Cinematography is my work, and Directing is my role: to do all of this I bind everything with Creativity & Passion.
Every one of us can be called a film maker, since everyone of us has a story to tell – but for me, it’s more than just the story, it is the visuals you want your audience to see.

As an artist in general we should be inspired and inspire others with our work, therefore, I create films that depict reality and stories that could be a reflection of life.
With our film “Place Like Home” a businessman who travels a lot really misses his home and loved ones, which happened to be his dog.

And in Home 2 Suites he literally felt he is home. With their 100% pet friendly feature, you can definitely bring in your pet.
Another strong point in our film is the fact that “we are not competing, because we already won”, a well-spent stay in a place developed by Hilton says it all.
This kind of film isn’t just to share information about the brand, rather its the sense of comfort we want our audience to see, hear and feel.
I’m looking forward to share more of our films here.

Filmmaker Evan Scott Moore and “Bertle’s 100th Birthday”

We were excited by using the number 100 as a theme, as well as the message of Home2 being completely pet friendly. So what we really tried to do was combine those two concepts in a totally unexpected way.
We spent hours making tiny props out of wood and clay. Even the cake is clay. You can barely even see it, but there’s a pretty intricate clay turtle inside the terrarium!

What we would like the audience to know about our film “Free 2 be You” for Home2 Suites by Hilton is that the dog we used in the film has a hidden Mickey Mouse on his back.  Can you find it?  We had a great time making this film at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Denver and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!  We would appreciate all of the support and votes we can get.

The three things I’d like for anyone to take away from our film is:

  1. Hilton Home2 is a haven for the professional and family alike.
  2. With all the amenties (which we show in our thirty second spot) they have to offer, it’s simple for a working mom to continue her work, and cozy enough for a youth to explore with her dog.
  3. It’s truly a place where you are free to be you.
