Audience Awards Staff Pick: Hate For Sale by Anna Eijsbouts

August 2, 2018

Audience Awards has selected this week’s staff pick film, Hate For Sale, directed by Anna Eijsbouts. Hate For Sale was an Official Selection in Audience Awards 2018 Animation Shorts Film Festival.

This Audience Awards staff pick acknowledges that we live in a world in which we consume hate as much as we are consumed by it. Hate For Sale examines the alluring and tempting qualities of this devouring emotion and why we keep buying into it. The film follows the original poem by Neil Gaiman, narrated by Peter Kenny.

Hate for Sale has been selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick, pick of the day at Cartoon Brew, received an Honorary Mention at Monstra Animation Festival and has screened at over 14 film festivals. Anna Eijsbouts is a Dutch filmmaker who focuses in puppet and cut-out stop-motion animation.

Audience Awards democratizes entertainment by connecting global filmmakers, fans and brands. We crowd-source mission-based, gorgeous branded content from our award-winning global filmmaker collective. Submissions are juried by the entertainment industry, influencers and celebrities and voted on by the world. The top filmmakers receive prizes, distribution and festival screenings. Additionally, we host our annual live festival Audience Awards Film Festival in LA, provide an internal submissions platform for brands and offer automated live event audience voting.
