INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY CHALLENGE AND FUSION MEDIA ANNOUNCE FUSION DOC CHALLENGE WINNERS
Top 12 films premiered at Slamdance Doc Challenge event today where the winners were announced.
January 25, 2015: Park City, Utah – The International Documentary Challenge announced the winners today for the Fusion Doc Challenge at the films’ premiere and awarded $3500. The International Fusion Documentary Challenge challenged young filmmakers from around to world to create short documentaries (4-7 minutes) in five days from start to finish. Contestants were given the theme “I’ve got a baaaaaad feeling about this” and choose between two given genres.

All of the films receive an exclusive 18-month distribution deal with Fusion Media. The films will compete for The Audience Awards and $1000 in March. The Audience Awards is film’s social network connecting filmmakers, festivals and audiences.
About The International Documentary Challenge
In its 10th year, The International Documentary Challenge is an annual timed filmmaking competition where filmmakers from around the globe have 5 days to make a short documentary that is 4-7 minutes in length. In addition to being restricted on time, the filmmakers choose between 2 assigned documentary genres and are assigned a specific theme. An elite industry jury determines the top 12 films. Doc Challenge films screen on television, at film festivals, on TheAudienceAwards.com and receive Emmy nods.
