In staff pick film, HAPPILY EVER AFTERdirected by Carsten Kurpanek, Annie, a hopeless romantic is determined not to end up like her parents. Will she find her movie magic romance?

Carsten Kurpanek was born and raised in Germany and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in film in 2007. Kurpanek has worked as feature and assistance editor on numerous notable films and television shows including: Machine Gun Preacher; The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo; World War Z; Squatters, which stared Gabriella Wilde, Luke Grimes, and Richard Dreyfuss; Fort Bliss, starring Michelle Monaghan; Earth To Echo; Kickboxer: Vengeance with Jean-Claude Van Damme. You can see Kurpanek’s latest project, Benji, in March as a Netflix original.

Kurpanek is also the Co-Director of the annual American Cinema Editors Internship, a program that helps recent college grads get started in post-production in Hollywood.

Happily Ever After is a romantic comedy about hopeless romantic, ANNIE. In a quest to not end up like her parents, miserably together, Annie puts her dates to the test when things start to get serious. If she and her date can recreate movie magic, Annie knows they’ll live “Happily Ever After,” just like Harry and Sally. But can she really fake true love?  You’ll have to watch to find out!
