What do you want audiences to take away from your film festival?
The audience will take away a multicultural film experience. Since the films are either made for or by the kids, the audience will have a chance to learn about another culture or listyle.
How long has your film festival been around?
Since September 2013.
Anything else you’d like to tell the audience about your festival?
In addition to the film screenings, the 2015 SDIKFF will host Opening Night Gala, Culture Forums, Industrial Panel Discussions, and Award Ceremony. These events will help facilitate interactions between filmmakers and the local kids. Youth and adult critiques will give comments to the selected films after screenings, and volunteer interpreters will assist with non-English speaking filmmakers during the events. The Cultural Forum events will focus on topics such as film production in different culture contexts and countries. An outstanding committee of industry personnel is serving on the film juries. And film distributors will be present at the festival to secure wanted material.
