Tell us a little bit about you and why you competed in this contest.

I am a filmmaker and animator, I saw the contest and thought it would be a great opportunity to create a fun motion graphics piece focusing on the significance of what 100 really means.

What does winning the jury prize mean to you?

Its amazing! I am glad to win the jury prize, it makes me want to look into more contests with The Audience Awards and encourages me to continue experimenting and branching out into new story telling methods.

How will you use the cash prize?

I will use the prize money to help fund my travel expenses for film festivals for a short animation I recently completed.

Second place Jury Award winner is Filmmaker Evan Scott Moore’s “Bertle’s 100th Birthday”

Tell us a little bit about you and why you competed in this contest.

I’m a full-time filmmaker, based in Seattle. A few months ago, my partner Zanzibar and I started an independent production company, Hotcakes Creative, and we’ve been focusing on building a portfolio of creative commercials. We loved the brief for the Home2 contest, so we knew we had to participate.

What does winning the jury prize mean to you?

Winning the jury prize means so much to me. Of course the money is great, but there’s also an important feeling of validation. A lot of passion and effort went into the video, and we really love it, so it feels really good to know that the jury loved it too.

How will you use the cash prize?

I plan on re-investing the money in more filmmaking equipment- definitely a few more lenses and a slider. My tripod’s had a broken leg for the last two years, so I’m finally going to get that fixed. Also, I end up acting in a lot of my films because budgets are tight, and I hate to use actors without paying them fairly. So part of this prize will go toward hiring actors for future projects.

5200 Studios is an up and coming production company.  We were contacted by The Audience Awards to compete in the Home2 Suites by Hilton competition and it appeared to be a great opportunity for our company.

What does winning the jury prize mean to you?

Winning the audience choice award means so much to 5200 Studios because we were chosen by the people.  It really shows us that we are supported by the community and that they enjoy our work.

How will you use the cash prize?

5200 Studios will invest the cash prize back into our growing company.  We will be purchasing better equipment to film our next piece.  Keep an eye out for it in the Colorado Revealed competition.

Tell us a little bit about you and why you competed in this contest.

My name is Jack Danini of Jack Danini Productions, a multimedia company in New York City. I am a Writer, Director, and Producer and have been working in the Telvision & Film industry since I was 7. At the age of 18 I founded Jack Danini Productions in order to produce my adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s Le fantôme de l’Opéra. After attending film school in Paris and spending over ten years living across Europe, I made my way back to New York to pursue my film career in full force. For the last 5 years I have been Producing & Directing Short Films, TV Pilots and Commercials. I have also most recently begun pitching my Feature Musical Film entitled The Night Winter’s Heart Melted. I came across the Home2 Contest while browsing for other video contest via www.onlinevideocontest.com  My partner on this project was Isaac Benelli who Assistant Directed & Co-Produced the spot. Isaac is a veteran Actor, Singer, and Producer who has toured with the West Side Story National Tour. Special thanks to our wives Jitka Danini & Sarah Benelli for all of their love and support. Congratulations to our wonderful cast: Elise Sievert & Emma Kaliamouris, Fabian Smith, & Daisy the Dog. Special thanks to Kaitlyn Cappa and the amazing staff at Home2 Long Island City, NY.

What does winning the 2nd place audience award mean to you?

We pulled out all the stops on social media and it’s only thanks to so many amazing family and friends that we were able to get so many votes. In the end we were short a few, but winning second place is still awesome! Huge Hugs and Thanks to all of our family and friends that put up with all our wall post and messages and helped us win 2nd place!

How will you use the cash prize?

We will be using our 2nd place cash prize to pay our professional cast and cover all of the cost of our production and celebrate with a few drinks, good company, and good food!

The third place Audience Award goes to Filmmaker Rachel Fleischer’s “Home2 by Hilton- Stay With Me.”

Tell us a little bit about you and why you competed in this contest.

For me, story and characters are the most intriguing part of filmmaking. I was excited about an opportunity to tell a story for Hilton. Each Hotel has a different personality and narrative, and I was excited about finding unique, engaging and personal ways to bring these stories to life and to find deeper meanings that transcended the brand and were also about the human experience.

What does winning the 3rd place audience prize mean to you?

Everyone in our industry works very hard so it’s really nice to be rewarded and acknowledged for your hard work.

How will you use the cash prize?

I will be paying my crew who worked so hard to help me bring the story to life and what’s left over will go towards my savings.

Congratulations to all of the winners! You can watch all of the competing films in 100th Hotel Opening Video Contest here!
