Introducing the ProVideo Coalition

March 25, 2016

What is your organization’s mission?

ProVideo Coalition (PVC) pulls together various working professionals in media & entertainment under a single URL. The site features pros who write about what they’re seeing, experiencing and learning in various fields, whether that’s production, post or distribution, just to name a few. These are experts who are professionals first and foremost, but also take the time to interact with the community and share some relevant insights via their writings and videos.

What is the best part of what you do?

What makes PVC special is the writers who are part of it. There are tons of great news sites out there, as well as plenty of blogs that feature must-read articles. PVC is able to combine those two things, as we’ve got a number of experts publishing those sort of must-read articles but also feature in-depth info about the latest news and updates that people really need to know about. All of that stems from the line-up of writers whose voices make PVC so distinct and powerful.

How do you reach your audience?

We reached our audience by putting together content that readers can’t find anywhere else, and that’s backed up by the fact that the site pulls in a great deal of traffic through search engines. This content floats to the top of search results because of our writers ability to publish content that’s relevant in the short and long term. We also have very a very active social media presence for the site itself, but various writers also push and promote their work through their own personal networks.

Anything else you’d like to tell the world?

There are a lot of sites that scramble to have the “latest” news to be the first place to find info about a relevant update or news item. Some sites have multiple updates on a daily basis to ensure readers will always have something new to click on. PVC is different because we ‘re not really concerned about being first. Instead, we’re focused on providing our readers with insights they literally can’t find anywhere else. A good example of this is the Art of the Cut series that Steve Hullfish has produced, which features his interviews with industry giants that goes into way more detail than anyone else does. Rather than clicking on multiple articles on PVC, readers will find they’re coming back to the same articles because there’s too much info to absorb in one sitting.
The Audience Awards provides filmmakers opportunities to create short video content for brands and win money. Sign up today for your free account and join film’s community.
