2021 Women's Film Challenge

Films Celebrating Diverse Female Voices

March 10, 2021

The official website of International Women’s Day states: “International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.”

Each year at AudPop we honor this powerful mission statement by hosting the Women’s Film Challenge. This challenge invites Female Filmmakers to submit their short fiction or nonfiction films, 20 minutes or under. The winning film wins $500, Premium Filmmaker Status and a non-exclusive distribution deal. The top films win Premium Filmmaker Status and a non-exclusive distribution deal. We are pleased to announce the winning 2021 Women’s Film Challenge films that showcase diverse stories both made by women and about women.

We started exchanging thoughts on a daily basis, which gradually formed the foundation of an intimate bond between two women of entirely different generations.
